Links with parents

Parental support matters.

The popularity of optional private foreign language lessons at some primary schools is just one sign of the interest that parents take in early language learning. At the same time it is essential that parents realise that their children are not being given an extra burden, that they will enjoy it and gain in confidence, and benefit from their skills as they progress through school and on to secondary education.

Languages for Life provides material at the start of the academic year for inclusion in parents' introductory packs from schools and follows this up by presentations at school events.
