lessons at some primary schools is just one sign of the interest that parents
take in early language learning. At the same time it is essential that parents
realise that their children are not being given an extra burden, that they will
enjoy it and gain in confidence, and benefit from their skills as they progress
through school and on to secondary education. Languages for
Life provides material at the start of the academic year for inclusion in parents'
introductory packs from schools and follows this up by presentations at school
