Languages for Life is a partnership set up by the directors of two specialist agencies each with over 25 years experience of developing learning solutions to met specific needs and enabling the use of MFL in a variety of situations.

The Directors are:

James Valentine
James Valentine founded Bedford Translations, a leading translation and localisation firm, in 1983. He was until recently a Director of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, of which Bedford Translations is a Corporate Member. He serves as an upper school governor, specialising in the needs of business and enterprise students.

Gerta Badde
Gerta Badde is a professional translator of German and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. As a partner in Bedford Translations she supervises teams of translators and places linguists in interpreting assignments through the UK. A recent PhD graduate of University College London, she is an Associate Lecturer at the Open University.
